PARKER 77 of Pompano Beach, formerly of Cleveland, OH husband of Ruth (Beckett) Parker of Pompano Beach, died Sunday, March 29, 1998 at his daughters home in Manchester, born December 9, 1920 In Cleveland, Off son of the late McKinley and Cora (Back) Parker he had been a resident of Pompano Beach for the past 30 years. Mr. Parker was a fighter pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
He was self employed in Florida and Cleveland as a painting contractor and was a member of the Painter's Union. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Deerfield Country Club in FL. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters and son inlaw, Terry and Robert Flynn of Manchester, Jacqueline and Michael Sweeney of Westlake, OH, a brother, McKinley Parker of Cleveland, OH, six grandchildren, Kathleen Flynn Patel and her husband Nimesh, Jeffrey Jack Flynn, Bridget Flynn, Patrick Flynn, Shannon Sweeney and Miles Sweeney, a great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Patel and several nieces and nephews.
